We are a passionate Indian cultural group with over 15 years of active contribution to the world of theatre. Many of our members are also professionally involved in the Indian film industry. Our vision is to showcase the rich heritage of Indian culture on a global stage through the power of storytelling and positivity.
Over the years, we have staged numerous acclaimed theatrical and cultural performances, including Chatta Avatar, Katha Kans Ki, Dashanan, Vyam Rakshamaha, and Chatta Pandava.
Chatta Pandava was recognized as the largest solo theatre performance and was officially certified by the Limca Book of World Records in 2010.
In December 2018 (25th to 29th), our organization, 9th Root Cultural Society, performed the world’s longest solo theatre marathon, titled “Raktranjit Mayurpankh”, running non-stop for 90 hours. This extraordinary performance, delivered by acclaimed theatre artist Rohit Kaushik, has been recommended by the Guinness Book of World Records, Golden Book of World Records, and the Limca Book of Records.
About the Play – Raktranjit Mayurpankh
Based on the life of Lord Krishna, Raktranjit Mayurpankh delves into lesser-known, profound stories from his birth to his nirvana. The play poses powerful questions: Why are Krishna’s teachings more relevant than ever today? Why do we still need Krishna? This emotionally stirring narrative offers a spiritual journey that connects the viewer deeply with Krishna’s timeless wisdom.

Rohit is a actively working in Indian Theatre from more than 22 years. Rohit has performed around 3000 theatre performances in his theatre journey so far. Rohit has been awarded as Best Actor for 24 times in Indian Theatre. Rohit has worked as an actor in more than 10 Bollywood and Tollywood films. Rohit has created Limca Book of Record for performing 24 hours Solo Theatre presentation – CHATTA PANDAVA. Rohit has also worked as a Teacher in Haryana Theatre department in M.M.PG COLLEGE for 3 years.
Rohit has created a WORLD RECORD by performing 90 hours Solo Theatre Performance – RAKTRANJIT MAYURPANKH. This performance has been approved for Guinness Book of World Records.
Rohit, as an actor, has worked in feature movies – Waghaa (Telugu), Solli Vadava (Tamil), Prem Baraha (Telugu), Swami (Marathi), O Negative (Hindi).
Short Movies – Zindagi Khoobsurat Hai (Writer, Actor, Director), Blank (Writer, Actor, Director).

Shalabh is currently running Food business in Australia and actively working on establishing production house and AI start-up. Shalabh has working experience in IT for almost 17 years. Shalabh manages all the International activities of 9TH Root projects and performances.

Lives in Mumbai, India.
Mashkoor Chowdhry is actively working in Indian Film Industry since last 40 years. He has been part of more than 50 well known Hindi Films in different generes like Pakizaa, Devdas (Shahrukh Khan fame) to name a couple.
Mashkoor is working as as Head of Production with 9th Root Group and looking for overall production activities.
